Social Studies reflection

I was learning about Maori ritual from term 1 and we went to analyze an actual powhiri. We learned how to pronounce some Maori words properly and we made our own song, called Nau Mai Haere Mai. At the start of the year I knew a lot about but there were some bits that I didn't quite know. But now I know even more now about Maori ritual and I seek feedback and can teach others that don't know much about Maori ritual.   Here is an audio link to our performances and explanations.

  1. You have been such a superstar Ari, a leader in every aspect of our learning about mihi-whakatau and poroporoaki. I've loved seeing you lead the haka, and be a mentor for other classes learning the waiata. Look how amazing you are on the guitar too. Impressive, and you totally deserved that special achievement award as a result. Good on you!!
