Camp description

In front mountains stand tall like soldiers at attention. To the side of me are evergreen trees swaying in the wind like grass does. Goats hunt for shade as they escape the burning sun.
The grass waits for water as the sun scorches it. The lake flows like a marathon runs.  Beside me patches of dirt once grass now as dry as a desert.

  1. Great story it really put a picture in my mind it reminds me of Nelson

  2. I love the language you have used.... "scorched" and "patches of dirt, once grass, now desert." You really help me to imagine how hot and dry it is there. I like the reference to the mountains being soldiers at attention. A perfect metaphor.
