Anonymous cat

I hear the cat creeping,
hauling his treasure
on his back.

On the tv the cat
has gone to court,
I see the judge say
“You are guilty for prowling into
people's houses and stealing
the other cats’ food.”

He looks like he has a plan
to escape.

What's that cat that's lurking in the gloomy dark with all that treasure?
What has the cat done to end up in prison by himself with no one?

My reflection:

This term we are learning how to use metaphors instead of simile.
If you don't know what a metaphor is this poem will show you what it is.
I mostly learnt about simile but I wanted to take that one step further.
